Shopping the Wayfair Black Friday Preview Sale
When it comes to a total redesign, or just a seasonal refresh, Wayfair is always a great place to start. Wayfair’s Black Friday Preview sale is in full swing and while it may seem early - we can’t help but get excited for the holidays this year!
// Sponsored: We are long time partners of Wayfair and we thank them for their support! We’re excited to shout out their Black Friday Preview sale that’s running through November 7th with discounts of up to 70% off (not to mention fast shipping, too!). This is a great time to start planning for the hopefully happy gatherings and celebrations ahead.
//Wayfair Loyalty Program: Wayfair has a new program and sign-up’s are now open for fellow shoppers. For $29/annually this rewards program offers you exclusive savings and perks. Members can expect exclusive sale opportunities, free shipping, and to earn points towards future purchases!
We’ve rounded up a few products that we have our eye on for this sale, as well as products that we love and would recommend to our families and friends (or maybe even gift…no peeking, guys!).
Shiny THings & Tree Trimmings
Calling all things that glitter and shine! We have to admit, ornaments and baubles are our favorite Christmas catagory. Last year was our first Christmas in Maine and we really leaned into the vintage ornaments - which we LOVE. We also selected a few of our favorite candles and window lights!
Artificial Greenery
We both grew up with real Christmas Trees, and we plan to still have one, but who said you can’t have both? Over the last few years we have gotten more into artificial trees because, well, they are really really easy. Also, with us spending time between both Boston and Maine, we didn’t want to be forced to skimp on Christmas spirit and only have a tree in one place. Here are a few of our selections for artificial trees, wreaths, stems and garlands.
Holiday Tchotchkes
Okay, for this category there really are no rules. Please go wild and do whatever you love. Over the top or not, tchotchkes are the best, and often hold the most memories. Collect them as you go! The fun thing about Maine is we get to establish a whole new theme and color palette for our holiday things. Sometimes it feels like you have to stick with whatever you already own or have inherited. We’re here to tell you that if you want to change it up - go retro, or even neon-tree-themed - do it! We’ll support you.
And of course, we have to support Taylor’s boyfriend with this kitschy Chiefs tree. This would actually make a fun Yankee Swap gift, too (satisfies the sports people and the Swifties - two passionate groups. We’re part of the latter).
Be the Hostess with the Mostest
The ultimate host makes you feel right at home, they make it look effortless and they think of all the little details. So, start burning your favorite candle an hour or so before the guests arrive. Light the taper candles to set the mood. And most importantly, keep your entrées and sides simmering so that the house smells cozy (we won’t judge if this means you’re heating up takeout). Having holiday-appropriate plates also feels like a little something extra - treat yourself! Finally, we like the idea of making sure everyone coming to the party has a stocking of their own!
We know it may seem early, but just we love spirit that comes with the ‘Ber months (September, October, November and December). So, why not lean into it and enjoy? Also, picking a few special items now, helps space out the cost with gift-giving later on!
We wish you a cozy, happy holiday season ahead!
